St. Vincent de Paul Society

Concerned with providing outreach to the needy. Financial help, clothing, food and furnishings are collected from the parish and distributed to those with a confirmed need.

Ministry to Holly Glen

Volunteers prepare for an assist at the monthly Mass at Heartland Holly Glen Nursing Home.

Feed the Hungry

A monthly food collection of staples for the hungry of the city under the sponsorship of the Toledo Council of Churches.

St. Louis Helping Hands

A volunteer team from the parish prepares and serves a noon meal at the St. Louis soup kitchen on a monthly basis.

Blood Bank

A blood collection is scheduled twice a year, staffed and directed by parishioners, to provide blood for Lucas County Blood Program under the direction of the American Red Cross.

Funeral Luncheon Committee

A committee of volunteers who minister to bereaved families by setting up and serving funeral luncheons in the Parish Center following parish funerals.

Social Justice Committee

Committed to obeying our Lord's command to bring justice to the oppressed, this group meets at important intervals throughout the year to plan and effect social change in the immediate and city community.

Liturgy

Eucharistic Ministers

The Eucharistic Ministers assist the priest by distributing the Holy Eucharist during the liturgy to the assembly.

Ministers to the Sick

These ministers visit and take Communion to the sick and or shut-ins on a regular basis. Visits are made to private homes, nursing homes and hospitals.

Lectors

Parishioners involved in the ministry of proclaiming the Word of God at parish liturgies. Individuals are scheduled on a regular weekend basis.

Usher/Greeters

These ministers of hospitality welcome and seat parishioners and visitors arriving for Mass. They also assist the physically handicapped and take up the people’s offering.

Altar Servers

Servers (4th grade –8th grade) represent the people of God at the altar by leading processions, preparing the altar for liturgy, and providing for the good order of the celebration. Training is provided. Parental support is much needed when a young person decides to become an Altar Server.

Prayer Network

Members of this prayer group pray for the intentions requested by parishioners. The group also meets two or three times during the year for communal prayer services or devotions.

Finance

St. Pius X School Endowment Fund
